My life was forever changed in April 2009 with the birth of my daughter Paisley Mae. She gave existence true meaning. I had worked hard through my pregnancy in bridal retail while obtaining an associates in cosmetology, however I knew upon Paisley's arrival home was where I wanted to be. She inspired me in ways I never imagined and taught me unconditional dedication.

On Paisley's first birthday I decided to create something for her from the heart. I designed my very first bodysuit to celebrate my daughter and was inspired to keep creating. I started selling baby items at local craft fairs and events before considering Etsy. At the time I was mostly curious what kind of platform Etsy was for small business owners. Could I really make money? In the midst of raising a young child, my little business was mostly akin to a part-time hobby. My children have kept me in a state of amazement at how swiftly time and growth change us.

Life is ebbs and flows, ups and downs and I've learned perseverance is essential to happiness. After going through a divorce as a young mother in October 2011, I realized my little clothing business could be the start to self sustaining while staying at home to raise my family. I became tenacious in becoming the mother they would always need and the business owner to make it all happen.

Operating with strong values is a core part of Paisley Prints. Besides being focused on quality and integrity, we strive to employ other mothers in need of supplemental income. Majority of our items are hand sewn by local mothers, using only fabrics that have been sourced to be the softest and most cozy to baby's skin. Our graphics, promotional printing, content and other company needs are always outsourced to other local, small businesses. Paisley Prints has pledged to stay local, providing opportunities of growth to our neighbors and friends.

Paisley Prints is constantly evolving and new designs are always in the works. No matter how big or small, there is always a goal within reach. Everything is purposeful! We have many exciting objectives on the horizon. We will be spending this year continuing our brand on Etsy as we look to the future with wholesale accounts and structures. We are also revisiting some of our roots by increasing local presence at fairs, meet and greets, pop ups and events. We take pride in crafting beautiful boutique clothing that reflects our style and values.

I have discovered it is possible to manifest dreams and raise the family of my dreams. Possibilities are endless by harnessing natural creativity, intelligence, and passions.
